Job Description
Made4net, a leading global provider of cloud based supply chain and warehouse management solutions, is looking for a Junior Application DBA to join our team in Herzliya. In this role you will work under the guidance of a Senior DBA, supporting the SQL Server environments that power our products, while gaining hands on experience in database management, optimization and troubleshooting in real production environments. This is a full time position, working from our offices in Herzliya.
Responsibilities
• Support day to day operations of SQL Server databases, including monitoring, backups and restores
• Write, test and maintain SQL queries alongside senior team members
•Help identify and resolve basic performance issues, such as query tuning and indexing
• Support deployment processes for database schema changes
• Document processes, procedures and resolved issues
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams on database related topics
Requirements
• Completion of a DBA course – MUST
• Up to two years of experience with SQL Server, including experience gained through studies, hands on training or a final project, or initial experience in a DBA or DBA Support role
• Good understanding of relational database principles: tables, keys, normalization, indexes, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers
• Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries, with initial understanding of Execution Plans
• Familiarity with backup and restore concepts
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools
• Basic familiarity with working in a Windows environment
• Good level of English, reading, writing and speaking
• Relevant BA degree, an advantage
